VESTEL Oven Grill Works But Oven Not Heating? Fix Guide

It’s a common issue. Your VESTEL oven grill is working, but the main oven isn’t producing any heat.

You switch between functions, but only some settings seem to work properly.

This type of problem usually indicates a fault in how power is being distributed to different parts of the oven.

What’s usually causing this?

1. Faulty selector switch

The selector switch controls which cooking function is active. Each setting uses separate internal electrical pathways.

If one part of the switch fails, some functions will still work while others stop completely.

👉 Common signs:

  • The grill works but the oven doesn’t heat
  • Some modes respond, others don’t
  • The issue affects only certain settings

On Vestel ovens — which also cover own-brand models sold under names such as Bush, Montpellier and Swan — the selector switch sits behind the front control panel and is accessed after removing the knob. The oven element contacts on the switch are a known weak point, with the grill contacts typically outlasting them due to the lower current load of the grill circuit.

2. Heating element problem

If the main oven isn’t heating, the fan or lower element may be faulty. This is also a common cause of this issue.

3. Internal wiring fault

Damaged or loose wiring can stop certain functions from receiving power, resulting in partial operation.

If your VESTEL oven behaves like this, it’s very likely that one of these components needs replacing.
