HAIER oven fan works but no heat? Common causes and how to fix it

It’s a common and frustrating issue. Your HAIER oven may appear to be working — the fan is spinning and the light is on — but there’s no heat at all.

You leave it running, expecting it to heat up… but it stays cold.

This problem is quite common with HAIER ovens, and in many cases it can be fixed without replacing the entire appliance.

So what could be causing it?

1. Faulty selector switch

This part controls how power is distributed inside the oven. If it starts to fail, the oven may look like it’s working, but the heating elements won’t receive power.

👉 Often the issue if:

  • The oven works in some settings but not others
  • The grill still works but the oven doesn’t
  • The issue comes and goes

On Haier ovens, the fan running with no heat is a common fault presentation caused by failed contacts on the selector switch. The switch stops routing power to the heating element while the fan and thermostat light continue working — a pattern that is frequently misdiagnosed as an element fault before the switch is tested and found to be the cause.

2. Broken heating element

This is the component that generates heat inside the oven.

👉 More likely if:

  • The oven does not heat at all in any mode
  • You noticed reduced heating before it stopped
  • Sometimes visible damage or no glow

3. Thermostat issue

The thermostat regulates and maintains the oven temperature.

👉 More likely if:

  • The oven heats but not correctly
  • Food is undercooked or uneven
  • The temperature fluctuates

If any of these situations apply to you, it’s very likely that one of these parts needs replacing.
