So what’s usually causing it?
1. Faulty selector switch
The selector switch controls the different functions of your oven. When it starts to wear out, the internal contacts can fail intermittently, causing the oven to switch on and off.

- The oven works sometimes, then suddenly stops
- It turns off during cooking
- Changing settings temporarily brings it back
On Beko ovens, the selector switch sits behind the control panel and is a well-documented cause of this intermittent fault. Models such as the CIMYA91B and OIF22300X are commonly reported with worn internal contacts that lose connection temporarily — causing the oven to cut out mid-cook before sometimes recovering when the knob is moved.
2. Loose wiring or connections
Loose or damaged wiring inside the oven can interrupt the electrical flow, causing random shut-offs.
3. Thermostat or control issue
A faulty thermostat can also cause unstable behaviour, including the oven switching off unexpectedly.
