It can be confusing. Your BEKO oven grill works perfectly, but the main oven doesn’t heat at all.
You switch between settings, but only certain functions seem to work.
This is a very common issue and usually points to a fault in how power is being distributed inside the oven.
What’s usually causing this?
1. Faulty selector switch
The selector switch controls which cooking mode is active. Each setting (grill, fan oven, top heat, etc.) uses different internal contacts.
If part of the switch fails, some functions will still work while others stop completely.
👉 Strong signs:
- The grill works but the oven doesn’t
- Some settings respond, others do nothing
- The issue affects only specific modes
On Beko ovens, the selector switch sits behind the control panel and is accessed by removing the top panel or knob fascia. Models such as the CIMYA91B and OIF22300X are commonly reported with this exact fault — the oven element contacts on the switch wear out before the grill contacts because the main oven function draws significantly higher current over time.
2. Heating element issue
If only the main oven doesn’t heat, the fan or bottom element may be faulty. This is also a common cause and should be considered.
3. Internal wiring fault
Loose or damaged wiring can prevent certain functions from receiving power, causing partial operation.
If your BEKO oven behaves like this, there’s a high chance one of these components needs replacing.
