BEKO oven fan works but no heat – what’s causing it?

It’s one of the most frustrating problems. Your BEKO oven looks like it’s working — the fan is spinning, the light may be on — but there’s no heat at all.

You wait, and nothing cooks.

This is a common issue, and in many cases it can be fixed without replacing the whole oven.

So what’s usually causing it?

1. Faulty selector switch

This controls where power goes inside the oven. If it fails, the oven can look like it’s working, but the heating elements don’t receive power.

👉 Often the issue if:

  • The oven works in some settings but not others
  • The grill works but the oven doesn’t
  • The problem is inconsistent

On Beko ovens, this is a well-documented fault — the fan runs and the thermostat light comes on, but the heating element receives no power. Models such as the CIMYA91B and OIF22300X are commonly reported with failed oven contacts on the selector switch, where the switch stops routing power to the element while all other functions appear normal.

2. Broken heating element

This is the part that actually produces heat.

👉 More likely if:

  • The oven doesn’t heat at all in any mode
  • You previously noticed weak heating
  • Sometimes visible damage or no glow

3. Thermostat issue

This controls the temperature.

👉 More likely if:

  • The oven heats sometimes but not properly
  • Food is undercooked or uneven
  • Temperature feels unstable

If any of these situations apply to you, it’s very likely that one of these parts needs replacing.
